Hang Gliders
Just south of San Juan Batista is the Pacific Ocean. A favorite sport is hang gliding. At a place called Marina which is located just north of Monterey there is a public beach. This is a favorite spot for hang gliders to participate in their sport. The breeze comes in off the ocean and when it hits the low cliffs it is diverted upward. This upward air flow gives the hang gliders a near perfect location. It is facination to watch them I have often thought of getting involved in the sport. This another example of the divercity of things available to you when you live in California. And, it is usually close at hand at least if you live near San Juan Batista.
